Shih Tzu Voronoi Sculpture

The Shih Tzu is a companion by vocation: calm, affectionate and always by its owner's side. In this sculpture the head, plumed tail and paws are solid, with finely carved fur, round dark eyes and a black button nose, while the body opens up into a Voronoi mesh of hexagonal cells. White alternates with brown and black patches, just like a real parti-coloured pup, and light and shadow play through every opening.

The figure is 3D printed from PLA – a biodegradable plastic made from corn starch – and made to order in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, within 5 working days.
