Voronoi Smooth Fox Terrier Sculpture

Compact, quick and sharp-witted, the Smooth Fox Terrier was bred for the hunt but long ago conquered our homes as well. This figure shows him in a classic stance: body leaning forward, head raised, tail standing up like an antenna. The face is solidly sculpted with a tan-and-black mask, a white blaze and folded triangular ears, while the short coat on the legs is rendered in fine relief.

The torso is woven from Voronoi cells – white at the chest and belly, with a deep black saddle along the back. The more light falls on the sculpture, the livelier the shadows its lattice throws around it.
