Description

Fabric stretched like a canvas, and a man forcing his way through it. The figure's head is veiled – the face only hinted beneath the folds – while both hands grip the drapery and pull it apart. The muscular torso and bent knee come furthest forward, so under side light every fold casts a soft shadow and the panel feels almost alive. The scene speaks of breaking through, rebirth and stepping beyond your own limits.
