Breaking Through Cracked Earth Relief Wall Sculpture

The background here looks like a dried-up riverbed – a network of deep cracks dividing the surface into small plates. From its centre a human figure erupts: the head is bowed and hidden behind long hair, while both arms reach to the upper corners, gripping the ends of the cloth that wraps the body. One knee pushes forward, and the muscles of the back and abdomen are clearly defined. Smooth drapery against cracked earth makes it very painterly.
