Sitting Akita Inu Statuette

In Japan the Akita stands for loyalty, and that quiet dignity comes through in this statuette. The dog sits upright on straight front legs, gazing slightly to the left, its small triangular ears pricked forward. The thick coat forms a dense ruff around the neck, individual tufts run along the back and thighs, and the tail rests close to the body. The bronze color gives it the look of a heavy bronze statuette, even though it is light and easy to move.
