Web of Bones Skull Relief Wall Sculpture

As if trapped in a giant web, the skull hangs at the centre of the panel with a wide-open mouth and empty eye sockets. Sinewy strands and membranes spread out from it in every direction, riddled with oval holes that recall bone, roots and spider silk all at once. The background is smooth with fine wavy lines, so the web stands out clearly. Under side lighting every gap in the lattice casts a small shadow and the relief seems to come alive.
