Venetian Siren Half Mask

At the centre of this mask, right above the nose, is a small sculpted female face – the siren, whose long hair flows in waves over the brows. On one side the relief turns into fish scales, and a fin unfurls at the edge, as if the mask had just risen from the sea. In the photo it is a dark brown, almost black tone that recalls tarnished bronze.
