Horus Egyptian Falcon God Relief Sculpture

The god of the sky and kingship stands in profile, gazing to the right with his beak slightly open. A sun disc rises behind his falcon head, and broad wings wrap around the muscular torso like a frame. His collar, armband and belt are covered in fine ornament, while the background is carved with columns of hieroglyphs, as if cut into a temple wall. Each feather catches the light, leaving deep shadows between the wings and the body.
