Dark Screamer Relief Wall Sculpture

It stares straight at you, even with its eyes squeezed shut. The creature has a smooth bald head, a brow furrowed in rage and a maw that opens vertically, lined with dozens of long, thin, needle-like teeth. Sinews and tendons stretch around the mouth, and the neck branches into roots that grow into the rock. The background is rough with hollows and folds, as if the being has just broken through stone. The frontal, symmetrical composition makes an instant impression; light from above casts sharp shadows under every tooth.
