Dark Green Alecto Fury Mask

In ancient Greek myth, Alecto is "the unceasing" – the Fury of anger who hunts down the guilty. This mask captures her temper without excess ornament: a smooth dark green face with deeply furrowed brows, narrowed eyes and a twisted mouth with clenched teeth. At the sides and above the brow the hair curls into sharp, flame-like locks. It covers the whole face and has a stern, almost theatrical character that recalls the masks of ancient drama.
