Baroque Snarling Tiger Mask

The tiger roars – and the whole room turns around. Unlike calmer cat masks, this one shows the beast in a moment of fury: a wrinkled nose, bared fangs and an open mouth. The stripes of its coat become deep baroque scrolls, and a thick mane of ornament spreads around the face up to the ears. The dark finish with a bronze sheen gives it the look of an antique sculpture.
