Baroque Lion Mask with Lush Mane

The king of beasts deserves a mask with the right bearing. Here the mane becomes a cascade of acanthus leaves and spirals like those found on old palaces and fountains, while the face itself is sculpted serious and calm – a broad nose, relaxed whiskers and a chin that ends in an ornament.
