A heavy crown of horns and spikes, scaly relief around the eyes, jagged frills along the cheekbones and jaws full of sharp teeth – this dragon looks as if it has just woken up in its cave. Baroque scrolls on the brow soften the ferocity and give the mask a noble, almost royal character.
