How a 3D figurine from a photo is made — step by step

The photo figurine is our favourite order — and the most personal gift we can make. Here is what actually happens:
Step 1: your photos
We want 3–5 clear photos: full figure from the front, side and profile, plus a detail of the face. They don't have to be studio shots — good daylight and a straight pose are enough.
Step 2: 3D model
We scale and model the figurine digitally — proportions, pose, characteristic features. This is the longest stage (2–5 days) and the most important: this is where the likeness is "born".
Step 3: your approval
We send you a render of the model. If something is off — we change it. Iterations are part of the process, not an extra charge.
Step 4: printing and finishing
We print in PLA with fine layers (0.12–0.16 mm), then sand the visible lines by hand. If painting was ordered — acrylics with a brush in the colours of the photos.
Step 5: box and delivery
The figurine leaves by Econt in protective packaging, with a base and (optionally) an inscription. From photos to your door in 2–3 weeks.
Tip for the best result: the clearer and more multi-angle the photos, the better the likeness. Blurry phone shots from the back of a crowd are not a great start — but we try with those too.
